For the Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)

  • ½ small onion, finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan (adds depth)

For the Assembly:

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or mini burger buns)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 24–36 mini pepperoni slices (or toppings of choice)

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp dried oregano or parsley

  • Optional: grated Parmesan for sprinkling

🍳 Instructions

1. Make the Patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine:

  • Ground beef, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and Parmesan (if using).

  • Mix gently with hands or a spatula until just combined. Don’t overmix.

  • Divide into 12 equal portions and shape into small, flat patties (about the size of your buns).

2. Cook the Patties

  • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  • Add a little oil and cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until nicely browned and cooked through (160°F for beef).

  • Set aside on a plate.

3. Assemble the Burgers

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Slice slider buns in half. Arrange bottom halves on a baking sheet.

  • Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each bun bottom.

  • Place a cooked patty on top, followed by shredded mozzarella, then 2–3 mini pepperoni slices.

  • Top with the other half of the bun.

4. Garlic Butter Topping

  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and oregano.

  • Brush the tops of the buns generously with garlic butter.

  • Optional: sprinkle lightly with grated Parmesan.

5. Bake

  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes.

  • Uncover and bake another 5 minutes to toast the tops and fully melt the cheese.

🌿 Garnish & Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley.

  • Serve with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.

  • Great with fries, salad, or a cold soda!
